Steam’s curated “Featured Win” section — the platform’s equivalent of a neon marquee pointing players toward quality — is currently spotlighting a game about running a sex shop.
LOVE SHOP Simulator, developed by OneHand Games and published under the label Taboo Tales, tasks players with stocking shelves, setting prices, and serving customers in a first-person adult store management sim. It costs $9.89, launched May 23, and carries a 97% positive rating across 37 reviews.
The reviews are sincere, enthusiastic, and accidentally poetic.
“I haven’t seen a sex shop salesperson simulator yet, now I sell large, large units,” wrote one player with 1.4 hours logged.
Another offered what amounts to a business school testimonial: “This is a business strategy where instead of discounts on sales, you have a 100% discount heartbeat. 10/10 for a business plan: now the phrase ‘the customer is always right’ sounds like ‘the customer is always yours’!”
The game features over 30 products, a spin-to-unlock system for new inventory, staff hiring, and charming dancers to attract visitors. It supports six languages including full English audio, ships with Steam Achievements, and somehow qualifies for Family Sharing. Make of that what you will.
Raijin.GG reports approximately 9,460 wishlists, and Steam currently shows 104 concurrent players — modest numbers by Steam’s blockbuster standards, but enough to land on the New Releases chart alongside the Featured Win placement.
Steam’s curation — whether algorithmic or human — looked at the platform’s sprawling catalog and decided that what players really needed front and center was a sex shop management sim with full Bulgarian localization. The players, to their credit, seem to agree.
