90% off Call of Duty. That’s not a typo — it’s the deepest discount Activision has ever offered on Steam.

Modern Warfare (2019) just hit $5.99, down from $59.99. The result? It’s sitting at #1 on the Steam Specials chart, #2 overall Top Sellers, and 53,410 concurrent players in the last 24 hours — more than Black Ops 7’s combined launcher and more than Battlefield 6’s ongoing free trial.

This is the reboot that critics called the best CoD campaign since the original Modern Warfare. PCGamesN’s review hailed it as “a new gold standard” for the genre. At six bucks, the single-player alone justifies the purchase.

Multiplayer lobbies are reportedly chaos right now, flooded with new players taking advantage of the price drop. If you’ve been curious about diving in, the timing doesn’t get better.

The discount runs until Thursday, March 26. After that, expect this game to return to its usual $60 shelf — because Activision rarely discounts this deep.

The Horror Pick

Right behind it at #2 Specials: Sons of the Forest, now $8.99 (70% off from $29.99).

This is the follow-up to The Forest — open-world survival horror where you’re stranded on a cannibal-infested island searching for a missing billionaire. Build, craft, fight mutated creatures, try not to die. You can go solo or bring friends, and with 88% positive reviews from over 126,000 players, the consensus is strong.

Caveat: it’s punishing. One Steam player with nearly 5 hours logged called it “obnoxiously difficult” — no training wheels, no easy mode. But for $9, if survival horror is your genre, the value speaks for itself.

The Call

Modern Warfare at $6? Buy it for the campaign. One of the best FPS single-player experiences of the last decade at a tenth of the original price.

Sons of the Forest at $9? Buy it if you want to suffer with friends in a beautifully terrifying hellscape.

Both deals end March 26. Don’t sleep on them.
